Ishqr is a registered company and trademark, owned by Shahzii LLC (referred to in this Privacy Policy as "ishqr", "we" and "our" and "us") providing online matrimonial services targeted at Muslim populations. In order to provide the service, we ask for certain personal information which is displayed on the site and stored on our servers. We allow all pubic visitors (with or without accounts) to browse profiles as well as read our news, blog, website information, and other forms of publicly published media. Users cannot connect or message profiles without first having created an account.


Ishqr gathers information from our users; data users input into the site, and data that is not directly submitted.


When you submit a profile on, you fill out a form containing your information. The information is partly public and some parts are either revealed after you grant permission to another user, or never available to anybody else on the site.

Your name and email are never revealed. Photographs are only revealed to another user after you accept their connection request. User-defined username, age, gender, location, region, type of relationship user is seeking, gender of person user is seeking, long distance relationship preference, religious preference, and user-defined description of self, description of relationship being sought, events you are attending and any extra information, is all publicly published on a user’s profile.

Information that you provide to us can also be posting material (such as on our social media pages) or requesting further information or services (such as emailing us).


Data related to visits to our site including traffic and location data may be tracked. We use Google Analytics and other similar services to keep tabs of our site traffic - data they track for us is the only thing we look at. We’re not creepy,promise. HOW WE STORE YOUR PERSONAL DATA Ishqr and Shahzii, LLC take all available measures to ensure that all sensitive data you put into is kept secure and private. However, thanks to some very cool heroes who decided to risk it all to warn us about how safe/unsafe our data is on the Internet today (i.e., we cannot guarantee your data will be entirely secure from whatever entity wishes to intercept Muslim matrimonial profiles. Yet we have taken all measurements within our means to ensure that doing so is almost impossible. Thus we must indicate here that we cannot guarantee the security of any data you submit to our site. By submitting profile/any other data, you agree to this transfer, processing, and storage. Feel free to contact us if you would like any further information or would like to comment. This Privacy Policy should be read together with our Terms and Conditions (but we can’t force you).

Becoming a member

Access to certain areas of our website is restricted to members. We reserve the right to restrict access to other areas of our website, or indeed our whole website, at our discretion.

Membership is only open to individuals who at least 18 years of age and are acting in a non-commercial capacity.

You may become a member by: signing up on the website and creating a profile.

You will have the opportunity to identify, correct and edit your profile at your own leisure.

Membership charges

Using the services on our website are free of charge. SHAHZII LLC reserves the right to change these conditions. If there are any changes made to our services or if we begin to start charging a fee for our services, we will notify our users. Users will be notified via email if any service chargers will be applied to use this website.

Term of membership

Your membership will be activated [automatically following / within [24 hours] following submission of your profile. Subject to early termination in accordance with these terms of use.

Member passwords etc.

We provide each member with a login and password to enable the member to access the restricted areas of our website. Members must ensure that their login and password details are kept confidential.

You must notify us in writing immediately if you become aware of any unauthorised use of your login or password.

Member warranties and undertakings

In addition to the warranties set out elsewhere in these terms of use, you warrant to us that:

(a) you have full authority, power and capacity to enter into these terms of use;

(b) all information you supply as part of your member profile is accurate, complete and not misleading; and

(c) you will keep the information you supply as part of your member profile up-to-date.

Cancellation right

Users are allowed to terminate or delete their profiles at any time on the ISHQR website. Upon deletion your profile will be deleted from our system including your email ID, name picture and any information you wrote when you submitted the profile as well as your search history and connections. Users will not longer be able to find or search for your profile. However, the messages or information that you shared with other users will not be deleted. If you wish to use our services again in the future, you will have to make a new profile and restart the process.

1. Under Regulation 9(1) of The Electronic Commerce (EC Directive) Regulations 2002 (the Ecommerce Regulations): “Unless parties who are not consumers have agreed otherwise, where a contract is to be concluded by electronic means a service provider shall, prior to an order being placed by the recipient of a service, provide to that recipient in a clear, comprehensible and unambiguous manner the information set out in (a) to (d) below - (a) the different technical steps to follow to conclude the contract; (b) whether or not the concluded contract will be filed by the service provider and whether it will be accessible; (c) the technical means for identifying and correcting input errors prior to the placing of the order; and (d) the languages offered for the conclusion of the contract.”

2. The Distance Selling Regulations require that suppliers must, in good time before the conclusion of an online contract with a consumer, provide information about “where appropriate, the minimum duration of the contract, in the case of contracts for the supply of goods or services to be performed permanently or recurrently” (Regulation 7(1)).
